Only about two months to go until the launch of Bone China and we are gearing up for a raft of exciting events around the UK. Pre-order links can be found on my Bone China page, including the option to order original signed copies through Waterstones and Bert’s Books.
For my readers in the US, I am delighted to announce that Penguin have now made a deal for Bone China and my next book, The Shape of Darkness, so these should be coming your way around summer 2020 and 2021 respectively.
It’s an exciting day as The Corset UK paperback officially launches in arsenic green! If you are UK reader over 18 and hold a Waterstone’s Plus card, you can enter a competition to win a signed copy and an amazing overnight stay. Full details are here. The closing date is 26th May 2019.
I was too busy to do a separate post, but you may have seen that Bloomsbury/Raven Books have now revealed the cover for my next book, Bone China, coming in September 2019. You can view the cover art, blurb and pre-order links on my Bone China page. Apologies to my readers in the USA but I currently have no news about if or when this book will be coming to you. I’ll let you know when I do!
Doesn’t the new paperback cover for The Corset look lovely? It’s very fitting that the colour has been changed to arsenic green to pick up on one of the story threads … You can get it in the UK from 2 May 2019.
There’s also good news for US readers! I received my galley copies for your version of The Corset – The Poison Thread – and they are equally gorgeous! It’s going straight to paperback in the US, available from 18 June 2019. Some of you have been asking me about an audio version. I’m happy to say there WILL be US audio for this book. You can pre-order it on the Penguin Random House website.
In other news, the pre-order links are now up for my next hardback book, Bone China, coming to the UK in September 2019. We haven’t yet made a deal for rights in any other territories with this one, but I will keep you posted.

Thank you so much to everyone who voted for The Silent Companions in the WHSmith Thumping Good Read Awards! I’m ecstatic to report that my little book has WON!
Here’s what the prestigious judges had to say:
“I adored this book. It has stayed with me for ages, and I slightly wish it hadn’t. Full of striking imagery, terrifying scenes (the splinters!) and it left me with a really horrible aftertaste (I mean that as a compliment). The final twist made me gasp. Tonally consistent and neatly structured. Really well done.” Jojo Moyes
“The Silent Companions ultimately shone for originality, for the sheer quality of the writing, the characters and some masterly chills. A great ghost story for all seasons. A thumping good read!” Peter James
You will now be able to get the paperback at a huge discount from WHSmith stores and online.
